It’s time that the UK government recognised the science and advocated for the ethical treatment of crustaceans under human control.
There is no need for crabs to be boiled alive, or transported by means that cause significant suffering to these creatures.
Crabs are strange, we understand that, their weird swivelly eyes and knobbly shells are a long way from the fleshy squish of our own bodies.
But are they so alien to humans that they don’t need protection?
